March Favorites
Videos, podcasts, articles, and songs that shaped my March – Featuring Hebrew, Japanese, and Persian
Happy April friends,
Today I wanted to send out a compilation of all the content—from videos to Substack posts—that helped me through the month of March. Let’s get started:
Video
I'm starting over by Better Ideas
I’ve been watching Better Ideas for years and he just recently came back from a small hiatus with this banger. TLDR: bettering your life comes from action, not endlessly figuring out how to better your life
This video may have single-handedly snapped me out of my inaction funk.
(I’ll admit the irony in telling you to watch a productivity video on why you shouldn’t watch productivity videos…lol)
24 things I want to drill into your brain by simonesquared (Simone Simmons)
I love this woman. I have this video saved and watch it periodically if I feel like I’m starting to lose my ‘girlboss’ attitude. Give it a watch—it’s a great wake-up call.
It only takes two weeks by The Math Sorcerer
Main idea: it only takes math students two weeks to catch up to the top students in the class.
It really motivated me to think that being a bit behind in work or studies doesn’t make it the end. You can always pick up where you left off and with enough hard work you’ll be back on track and even ahead.
چهل و پنج سال رژیم نامشروع جمهوری اسلامی (45 years since the founding of the Islamic Republic) By the Crown Prince of Iran
The crown prince of Iran Reza Pahlavi uploaded this 13-minute video to his official youtube channel a few days ago. It’s a compilation of various clips though the history of the Islamic Regime of Iran.
It’s an important watch if you have the time.
Podcasts
ゆゆの日本語 - Japanese
Yuyu No Nihongo is a Japanese podcast for learners that doesn’t sound like a podcast for learners.
Yuyu speaks to you like a friend and it never feels like he tries to ‘dumb down’ his Japanese to help you understand, although he likely is :)
